The Churchie Philanthropy Tree

Bequests

A bequest to the Churchie Foundation provides a lasting legacy of support for students.

Recent wonderful examples include gifts from the estates of David Turbayne, Dulcie Kappe and Boyd and Ivy Williamson. The names of these and many other benefactors will live on through named funds held by the Foundation, and through the works they have financed.

Morris Society

The Foundation has established the Morris Society to recognise those who have made a bequest or indicated an intention to do so. Morris Society members are invited to an annual function and included in all other Foundation events.

If you would like more information about the society or bequests, please contact Warren Sturgess on 07 3896 2203 or by email on Warren.Sturgess@churchie.com.au

Scholarships and bursaries

The School has introduced a number of scholarships and bursaries named to honour donors and high academic achievers. For instance, the Cliff Ashdown Bursary supports students who attend the School, but may have to leave because of financial circumstances.

In 2008 the Churchie Foundation Scholarships Fund was endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient, which means that gifts for certain scholarships and bursaries are now tax deductible. This status makes giving for that purpose much more attractive.
